Diavik Diamond Mines Inc., operator of the Diavik Diamond Mine, has been selected as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2010.

"I would like to congratulate Diavik Diamond Mines and its employees for attaining this distinction," said Minister Bob McLeod. “We recognize the positive impact Diavik has had in the NWT and its commitment to Northern workforce development. We are very pleased that they have been acknowledged for their efforts, and look forward to working with them into the future.”

Employers are evaluated by the editors of Canada's Top 100 Employers using eight criteria: physical workplace; work atmosphere & social; health, financial & family benefits; vacation & time off; employee communications; performance management; training & skills development; and community involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
